Unfortunately acne is most common skin condition and that’s why many things are associated with them. Many home remedies are famous for acne and people blindly believe them without any doubt. As acne starts to appear people gets so frustrated that they believe everyone blindly and stat trying remedies what ever people tell them. Sometimes they get positive results and sometimes they worsen their condition.

Toothpaste is one of the famous remedy for acne. It is said that if pimple appears on your face and you apply toothpaste on it then you would be amazed by the result, it is considered one of the href="http://www.quickacneremedy.com/" rel="nofollow">best acne treatment. People believe that toothpaste can cue their condition permanently. Toothpaste is a temporary treatment and can cure acne for a day. Acne can appear again and again. But yes you can use it for short run.

Before going to toothpaste you should know some facts.

Most important, toothpaste is effective for mild case of acne. For moderate to severe cases you go for over the counter products or dermatologists.

Toothpaste should not be in gel form, they are not effective. Use in paste form. Avoid whitening toothpaste as well as they contain high level of hydrogen peroxide which can irritate your skin.

Do not over apply toothpaste on your face, just cover the pimple.

Before going for toothpaste treatment, remember that some people have sensitive skin and get rash after using toothpaste. Try toothpaste on other body part to check your skin sensitivity.

You can apply toothpaste for 10 to 15 minutes or over night it depends on you. Some people think that over the night stay can irritate your skin.

Now we should know that what ingredients of toothpaste work on our skin. Toothpaste contains Sodium Pyrophosphate which removes calcium and magnesium forms our saliva. In the same way it will remove calcium form our skin. Too much calcium prevents skin from shedding which it should be. So may be that ingredient work on our skin and remove excess calcium from our skin. Another important ingredient is silica. Silica is highly used in skin care products and prescription medication because it helps to rebuild skin after any damage and lessen irritation. Some toothpaste contains baking soda which is very helpful in eliminating excess oil form skin.

From the above discussion we can say that toothpaste is good home remedy for mild case of acne if you want to get rid of it over night for any special occasion. It is not a permanent cure.
