My doctor recommended me Tetracycline and I took it on his advice, but I got all kinds of nasty side-effects. At first everything was regular, but in a few days I started to feel nausea and dizziness. After two months I had got used to feeling sick, but I noticed my face was starting to become all red. I went to the doctor again and he said I should cease taking it. So I did. Now it's all better.
The idea is I've read something similar on Minocycline Forum. It is a general problem with antibiotics or what? -
I've been on Tetracycline, too, but mine is a happy case. Actually, right now I'm on break, but I'll start all over again next week. It's true, it's not a permanent cure, but with acne none of them is. So, I'm happy with what works best. In a month of taking Tetracycline I've passed from cystic acne to mild- that's progress!

I found Tetracycline too mild for acne nodules. All it did to me was cause me gastric disturbances and severe cramps in the abdomen. Small pimples do disappear fast, but nodules are not influenced by Tetracycline in any way

I've heared once about some drugs stronger then antibiotics, I think the name is Cephalosporide, but I am not sure about this. Probably will work for nodules, too (as a doctor first)

I recommend everybody to strictly respect doctor's orders when it comes to Tetracycline or other strung drugs. At first I didn't pay too much attention to the time schedule and the food and rest restrictions and went back desperate to my dermatologist to tell him about the failure of the treatment. He convinced me to give it another shot, this time respecting the time span between pills and before meals and sleep and I must admit the difference was huge.

I'm on tetracycline also and the treatment works good on my acne but the fact that it takes so long with the breaks and then again the pills it drives me crazy. My sister reminds me all the time when i have to take the pills.

Tetracycline works for your acne, but be careful, never take it in late spring, summer, or early fall. Taking tetracycline your skin becomes very sensitive to the sun and heat. To remember taking the pill on time set a reminder on your cell phone.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Tetracycline) www.24tabs.org I received the order and it was on time and the pills work great.
