Mezghan prepares for IdolEvery time we turn on our TV sets we are initiated into a world of perfection and glamour, where no one ever needs to reapply their lipstick or deal with morning after make up stains that never wash out of pillowcases. It is a world where stars and celebrities wear the latest make up looks perfectly applied on top of bright, translucent California tanned skin, and singers and recording artists never shine even under the brightest spotlight. This is the world of the internationally coveted make up artist who can turn a bad sleep and late night complexion into a glowing work of art with the help of half an hour, a few make up brushes and a suitcase of cosmetics.
Over the last few years however make up artists agree that it is becoming more and more difficult to cover skin imperfections and produce perfect make up looks for stage and screen celebrities: There has been an overwhelming increase in the incident of adult acne over the last 20 years with some experts attributing this to increased chemicals in our foods, environmental changes and pollution levels. Whilst most of these claims are so far unsubstantiated, it is clear that there is a widespread epidemic of acne amongst both male and female that is not only affecting adolescents. One such make up artist Mezghan, who produces work for worldwide acclaimed shows such as American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance?’ has encountered the problem of acne at an increasing level when making up the contestants for live filming: The acne coverage begins to fade after 20 minutes under lights, leaving the blemishes brighter, redder and more irritated. Ever layer of make up applied to hide the condition results in further outbreaks and damage to the skin.
The solution that Mezghan and many other make up artists discovered was the SensiClear system which she has insisted on introducing to all of her clients to rid them of the acne problem: Salicylic Acid forms the basis of the range, a naturally occurring plant sugar derived ingredient. The salicylic acid works against acne by causing cells to slough off the skin easily, preventing pores from clogging, a major contributor to acne, and allowing room for fresh, new skin growth. Independent tests have shown the SensiClear System to reduce acne blemishes by 60% during the first critical 3 days: 62% of large pimples are reduced in the first 72 hours along with 200% less blackheads.
Over 80% of stars and celebrities interviewed admit to acne breakouts and skin problems that are constantly irritated by heavy stage make up and constant reapplying of cosmetics: As a leading industry make up artist, Mezghan now has all of her clients adopt the SensiClear System to clear acne and improve the condition of their skin, making them stage and camera ready for the next close up shot. And as we know on American Idol and So You Think You can Dance, preparation is everything!
