Are there any multi-vitamins for teens, preferably chewables?
-
Not sure about vitamins for teens. That is a good idea. Certain vitamin companies make vitamins for young adults, older adults, even for men and women. The Flintstones are for kids as young as 2 years old and for adults too. Most of the vitamins and minerals in Flintstones are 100% of what is needed from 4 years old to adults.
If I take these too often I don't feel as good. I like to take one a day and sometimes not at all. I'm never sick anymore. When I took the high potentcy vitamins I was often sick. Sometimes less is more, like the country song. These vitamins have 100% of C and most Bs. They are digested well because they are chewable. Vitamins help us use the food we eat, that's it. They make up for what the real food is lacking, but still real food is what the body needs a lot more so than the vitamins. I know the soil varies in different parts of America. In Southern California you can buy celery that actually tastes great. It's a little sweet and not stringy or fibrous. Not at all like the celery here in Arizona. When I first started taking vitamins it was vitamin C 100% derived from Rose Hips. I was 18 years old and staying out late all time. No wonder I was getting sour throats all the time. The vitamin C really did it for me. The doctor said if the strip throat didn't stop I would have to have my tonsils out. Once I started taking the C the sore throats stopped and I haven't had one since and that's the truth. And most the time in my life I've just eaten fruits and vegetables for the C, not vitamins, but I do feel better when I take some vitamins.
I believe if we give the body what it needs things will clear up and sometimes it's unbelievably fast.
I made my mistake when over time I started thinking that more is better. That's not always the case. Once I could see I was becoming drugged by two many vitamins I stopped them altogether and started eating better, but wasn't really there yet. Should have just been taking a multiple like I take now and thing would have been fine. The high potentcy vitamins made my blood pressure high and my mind became dull. Anymore my blood pressure is perfect 116 over 80.
It was 145 over something when I was 25 years old. It's like anything else, if people have high blood pressure it's something they are doing to make it high. Same with Acne, once you do the right things your Acne will disappear.Moderation is tuff thing to really learn. People think more in extremes and that's definitely not good.
A naturepathic doctor told me the soil is depleated. There are tests done on soil and produce. They know this is true that fruits and vegetables are not always up to parr.
Sometimes vegetables taste flat or tasteless. When my taste buds says yes, then my stomach always agrees. When food tastes like it's empty it is.
To have a clear complexion it seems we can't eat too much sugar or greasy foods, but a real low amount of fat isn't good either. You will become low in calcium and even protein. A good nights sleep reduces oil on the skin and so does enough good nutrition.
Before reaching puberty a young person needs to be eating good so when puberty comes and your body matures at full throttle you will be okay. It's the obvious things like get enough sleep, eat good stuff, take vitamins but vitamins are very potent so you can over do. Junk food is all around. Stay away from it most the time.
Studies have shown that the teens that have only one cup or less of milk a week have less pimples than teens that have 2 to 3 cups a day. Here again, some teens that have eaten good for years aren't bothered much by what they eat. They are very lucky, but if they don't watch it they will be the one's that are screwed.
Still the fact remains that milk isn't very good because it isn't very digestable. Pasturization destoys the enzymes making it so our own pancreas has to try to make the enzymes. This over stresses the pancreas and causes diabetes in some people.
Remember it's not just the grease in the milk and red meat that cause the acne, it's the added hormones that raise our own testoterone giving us pimples. So eat more of the unbreaded chicken and fish and beans. The breaded chicken is good sometimes, but the bread on chicken is full of grease.
Please let me know how your Acne it doing. Keep in touch. Stan

The most important thing to look for with vitamins is the potency. 40%,60%,100% will do wonders. There's no need to go higher than that. Vitamin companies will make a extremely high potency pill just because people will be impressed with it and buy it. That's the way the world works unfortunately.
You have to be smart and use wisdom here. Yes, the Acne comes from the inside, so it must be cured from the inside out to be really cured.
Eat good quality food low in grease, very little or not dairy, get prenty of sleep and lower your stress, allow time for receation, be happy, get active. Don't binge on the comfort foods. Don't allow yourself to get nervous and turn inward around the girls. Talk to them and be vocal. If you don't your energies will turn inward and you will have trapped tensions inside you. This is part of what makes for the oily skin that is excited and breaks out. Stan

Vitamins derived from natural sources are better, but can be more allergenic because their sources are often known allergenic sources.
If these vitamins make your Acne worse then stop using them. Vitamins are not necessarily the cure all. Don't ever believe in something so strongly that you over look the obvious. Some Acne sufferers just eat too much of everything or aren't active enough to sweat and keep the pores clean. Everything in balance and moderation. Stan

Nut meats, peanut butter, almond milk, very oily stuff. Can make the skin way oily and cause serious pimples. Just a few nuts once in a while is all a teenager can have without a serious breakout. Peanut butter and almond milk, forget it.
Balogna, hot dogs, lunch meats, zit food. There is better food than that. Don't eat it. Stan
