A friend just asked me why prescription is required for Retin-A.
I don't have an answer, I am not a physician. My friend argued there are lots of creams ( cosmetic creams) using tretinoin/vitamin A as active ingredient. -
One reason could be Retin-A is not recommended for pregnant women, unknown effects towards babies or something else.

Good point. I forgot about this.

I bought Retin-A without prescription in Spain. I had the empty tube with me, and I spoke English pretending I can not understand Spanish at all (in fact I think I'm quit good on Spanish), I've made a little demonstration showing that I use Retin-A for my zits on my forehead... Anyway, I think you can buy it without prescription if you are a 90% inventive and 10% intuitive

Of course there is always another way you just have to act a little bit, but any way is better to consult yourself with your doctor, I've heard that Retin-A is a serious medication.
