Actually, i think there are two forms of acne: non-inflammatory and inflammatory. The non-inflammatory (white and blackheads) is not that bad as the inflammatory acne(papules, pustules, nodules and cysts and acne conglobata). I had a friend who has acne conglobata and I know how terrible it is not to be able to go to the beach and all. -
It's more to it than that. You shouldn't try to diagnose yourselves anymore. A good dermatologist should be able o make a difference between acne vulgaris and acne rosacea or other type but appearing as a red rash on the T-zone (you know, forehead, nose, chin). The good thing is you get no blackheads, the bad thing- is just as bad as vulgaris!

I don't think make a real difference: important is if you suffer from a mild or moderate or severe acne. In fact I think the treatments are mostly the same.

Aly I know a natural remedy for it. Try rubbing lil honey over your nose or the area having black and white head and massage till it wears off like a scrub. Then wash your face. Do this twice-thrice a week.. You'll steart seeing results in 1 week or two.
Hope it helps -

Non-Inflammatory Acne
Non-inflammatory acne is the most common type you’re likely to experience. Most people refer to these as whiteheads and blackheads. With blackheads, the hair follicle is open but the oil which is blocking the pore is visible and darkened thanks to its contact with the air. When the pore is closed off, the whitehead develops.
Inflammatory Acne
Whether you have facial or body acne, inflammatory acne can be a more significant problem. Inflammation is normally caused by a response from the immune system to a perceived threat, such as a virus. With acne, this invader is often bacteria. The result of the inflammation is a red color, swelling, and elevated skin temperature in the inflamed area. Inflammatory acne comes in three different types of lesions.

Jesus, for those of you that know you get one cold sore i.e on the corner lip is where everybody thinks they only occur. Just freakin try rubbing alcohol, or even just plain after shave ( hence the burn that occurs on freshly shaven skin as the antiseptic is killing virus particles and infection. Cold sores or herpes sores look exactly like zits when they're on your forehead and anywhere, believe and trust me. If you don't, then the next time you pop a cold sore, experiment by placing that gunk on your chest, and I gurantee you will find lots and plenty of "zits" sores. INflammatory acne could very exactly be a herpes sore as they feel as if the skin itself is inflammed and swollen and not just coming from the source of a single pore; that big inflam zit could ver well be misdiagnosed even by that all knowing dermatoloigst as what you said inflam acne, and if you keep scrubbing even pamperly with soap YOU"re gonna spread it. The day I started using rubbing alcholo is the day all my blemishes disappered and I was a Proactiv Worshipper. did it religiously with mixed results of course. 80 percent of all my blemishes came from the herpes virus and I spent my entire teenage hood and twentys thinking that it was and only could be acne. Trust or at least try.
