Another myth regarding acne is that any form of interfering with it can only aggravate it. Fals. I found that damaged skin requires treatment and, more often than not, retard help is less effective. DO SOMETHING! -
I couldn't agree with you more. If you don't act in any way, it could only get worse, and it definitely won't just dissapear in time. Take care of your skin and you will see the results, even small ones.
-
Anyway, don't act unless you know what you are doing. It may happen to get your acne wors

You can stay and wach yor face turning in something red and paintfull, but how long?I think that somebody with acne is not feeling so great with himself and he have to do something about it.My girlfriend has acne and she can't ignore it.
-
Unless you figure out a proper medical treatment for your acne , I'd advise you to increase your intake of water. This might sound like a tip told thousand times earlier but this alone can work wonders. Just increase your intake of water to 10-12 tall glasses of water a day and start noticing differences in days.
-
If you are strong enough to ignore it is good but i don't think so. My only advice is to stay away from your pimples. I couldn't and now my face is full of scars.
-
well one can gently treat pimples by pressin them with finger tips. Nails would definitely lead you to scars.. Secondly if you have a porblem with your skin visit a doctor and get it treated immediately.
-
I have acne and i agree that is better to do nothing. since i started to treat my acne i feel that this became the purpose of my life and it's not good.
Acne is not a mortal disease in fact is just a skin irritated, what do you say if you have skin cancer or God know what else?!
I prefer to do something nice and funny in stead of counting my pimples and looking all the day in the mirror. -
Good pointed Diana.
I accept the fact that you have to take care of your skin, but it will be nice to foget about it sometimes. -
Well,i agree
I didn't knew somebody with acne that has a normal atittude.purposes, life etc.
And i agree that acne isn't such a big deal,it is only for us because we are frustrated about how we look.
And if we are thinking like this, probably we are more affected than we might like to accept. -
I had acne real bad when I was a teen. It left in two weeks when I joined the military.
I'm wrighting a book on Acne now. Raised two boys and managed to keep their acne under control.
Curing acne is just doing the basics. That's not easy when you are a teen living in America.
If you were growing up in a foreign country where there were no greasy comfort foods and processed foods you wouldn't be able to get Acne.
So learn to eat your vegetables. Eat fruit. Get your sleep. Losing sleep and consuming sugar and caffeine are very bad for your complexion.
In the military I hit the sak at 9:00 every night and was woke up at 5:00 every morning. My skin on my face and chest lost the excess oiliness in a week and a half.
In basic training we weren't allowed to go back for seconds and the desserts were not very big, just small portions, but we ate on time every day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
So, it was the getting to bed early, eating enought good food and very small amounts of desserts, and the low stress. Yes, the military had us for a while. Our life was on hold, so we had no real worries and there wasn't the tension over the opposite sex to exite the skin.
The vegetables in the diet have a great deal to do with relaxing the skin and slowing down oil production because of the calcium. Brocolli is on of the best foods for the skin, and spinach. You get all kinds of vitamins and calcium. Avacados are good too. You get monounsaturated fatty acids. Avacados are better than eating potato chips for you skin. They are high in vitamin A which is good for the skin.
Don't over eat, especially out of stress and worries. Just have fun and be happy. There is no time like the teenage years for being happy and going out on dates with someone you really like. Being happy has so much to do with the hormone balance and your complexion.
Have you ever noticed how teens in love glow. They don't breakout, they glow because they are complete and happy, so get that way. Your teenage years only come around once, so enjoy them. Stan

Acne control usually takes the form of topical application products containing benzoyl peroxide. The problem is that this compound can be a major skin irritant. Peroxide is an oxidant that can damage healthy skin tissue. Though such applications are very effective in acne control, the user should weight the pros and cons of using benzoyl peroxide-based products carefully before actually prescribing them. It is best to consult a dermatologist for this.
