How I controlled Acne through diet

Hello all, just wanted to share my story about how i controlled my acne through dieting. First off, I have been on many different drugs for acne, including antibiotics and accutane, as well as experimenting with multiple face cleansers etc. (you know the deal). Finally, I chose to change my diet. I eliminated fast digesting carbohydrates out of my diet and voila, my skin is well under control and the only breakout that occurs is when i eat sugary food. By fast digesting carbs I mean anything with a lot of sugar in it, like chocolate, sweets, pop and fruit juices, deserts, sauces, and alcohol. Because the rush of sugar entering your system causes an insulin increase, oil glands in turn produce excess oils and then you have a pimple. Try eliminating sugary foods out of your diet COMPLETELY (or it won't work) for just 2 weeks and see if there is a difference. What have you got to lose?

    Dear Sean
Thank you for your advice. It is interesting and I think your theory can actually work. I've never tried to stay away of chocolate for 2 weeks until now and I eat a lot of fruits (and I like it), so your diet may be hard for me but at least for 2 weeks I can try it! Can you tell me, oranges and bananas are forbidden, too? Because I drink about 1 glass of fresh orange juice every day, and I think this is a healthy habit, so I would not like to stop it.
Anyway, good advice! In 2 days from now on is my birthday, so I will start it after this day, I can not stay away from a cake on my birthday!

Thank you and if you have more to say about this, please come here and help!

    Best

It may just work your diet. When I went to the dermatologist ,he told me not to eat sweets like chocolate, cookies, cake and all that kind of stuff loaded with sugar. The thing is I really don't eat those things. Who knows may be it's the bread. :?

Diet and acne are closely connected. There is a big number of people that suffer of acne which have reported that they acne is connected with their diet. They have notice a change of their acne condition in accordance with certain foods intake. Some foods intake accentuates acne and some improve the appearance of your skin.
It appears that the wrong diet can have serious effect on your skin and itÂ’s one of the acne connecting factors that can influence in a negative way hormonal regulation and natural toxin elimination process.

Acne is very closely related to diet. For example, I did a four day juice fast, and I noticed that by the third day that my skin was completely clear. I have always had bad acne. My intentions for the fast wasn't for my skin, it's just something I noticed while I was doing my fast. I drank wheatgrass, carrot juice, among other juices. If you can find out your food allergy or just keep your sugar and caffeine intake down, your skin will significantly improve. Skin products for adults is a multi-million dollar industrial scam.

I don't think I could do a fast. But if you can do it I'm glad it helped you. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

nothing to lose so it's worth a try, I eat soo much sugar so maybe that's it.
My birthday is in 2 weeks and I'm having a sugar marathon - i'm going to cook and eat as many extravagant desserts as I can, it will be awesome!
After that I'll cut it completely for 6 weeks, if anyone else is up for it as well then let me know how it goes on this forum,
    Thanks

    Hi,

Oily or fatty foods, excessive sweating and do not play a role in the causes of acne. Although it is possible back acne is worsened by this.

Acne is a skin condition that occurs due to an overproduction of oil by the oil glands of the skin. The oil is the body's natural way of lubricating the skin, but when you have Acne, this natural lubrication gets trapped in the skin, and bacteria attacks the inside of the hair follicle or oil gland. The trapped oil irritates the skin, and cause swelling, redness, and pus. Finally, a pimple, blackhead, or whitehead forms on the surface of the skin.

To get rid of acne you should start with the following:

1)Wash your face in the morning and at night, and after you work out. You may want to try a cosmetic face mask once a week or a daily benzoyle peroxide product. Benzoyle peroxide comes in strengths ranging from two percent to 10 percent. You should start out with a low strength and use a stronger product if necessary.

2)Keep your hair off your face and don't squeeze or pick at your pimples. Wash your hands before touching your face, your hands a filled with bacteria`s.

    - If this dosnt cure your acne you should try out a natural or chemical treatment. Or tall to your dermatoligist.'

But try starting with reading about acne and what kind of acne you have, i know you can se treatments both natural and chemical atwww.Acen-ai.com - it has helped me out a lot.

Hope it can help you to get rid of your acne, as it did for me.
