I like what was said about the teenagers in the fast food resturants. Cooking over grease all the time they are bound to get the zit.

In the 50s and 60s in was worse at those fast food places because they cooked the hamburgers in lard (animal fat.) Kids had a lot more pimple back then and people didn't know what to do about it.

Now days I have noticed kids with Acne working at the Jamba juice places. It's because Jamba juice is made with a lot of yogurt, high in grease. If you consume enough dairy, by second hour you won't be able to rest your head against your hand in class without it slipping off.

Yea, mostly it's what we put into our bodies. Babies do find with milk, but to drink lots of another species milk? Studies of some 80,000 nurses showed that the ones that drank the most milk had the weakest bones. Milk is very hard to digest. I have drank milk all through my life, but anymore I eat more green leafy vegetables and a lot less milk. My teeth fillings prove that the milk didn't help me much.

Milk is like drinking 20 SAE motor oil, well at least 10 SAE. It tastes great, but is the worst thing for the complexion outside of chocolate with it's 55% cocoa butter and all the sugar. Sugar isn't greasy but it raises the insulin which raises testosterone which causes the oil called Sebum to come out on the skin and blocks the pores that get infected and ruptured by bacteria and just by the excessive oil. So if sugar is so bad for Acne then what are teens doing drinking Cokes and Pepsi?

See, it's like this. Teens are going through puberty. The hormones are naturally up, right. So when we eat the refined foods, they increase hormones even more causing the oily skin. Countries where there is no refined foods there are no pimples. Places like Paraguay and New Guinea. Out of 1300 people tested over 2 years there were no pimples found. Not even the smallest pimple.

And milk. A normal cow produces 2000 pounds of milk in a year. The average cow that gets his injections of Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH) will produce 50,000 pounds in a year. Quite an increase and these cows have constant sores on their utters. It is very hard on them.
Milk has it's own growth hormones without the extra they add for more milk production.

Another factor that makes for the zits is the lack of a good nights sleep every night. My acne left in 10 days when I went into the Airforce. We were in bed at 9:00 every night and up at 5:00. We didn't get seconds at the chow hall and desserts were small. Yes the military is a great place to lose your Acne.

So, say goodby to the chocolate bars, the french fries, and the cokes. Eat good food, feel good about yourself, and get to bed early and your pimples will definitely leave. That's a fact. It's all in our life style.

So if you like milk just reduce the amount you drink to about one cup a day, maybe two at most and eat a lot of vegetables. Develope a good apetite for good food. Everything in moderation. If you eat red meat have it lean. Top sirloin or any of those lean steaks are okay. If you like hamburger, have them grind up a lean steak. That is usually the best way to get the leanest meat. Fish is the best type of meat. Those Asian people usually have the most perfect faces. It's in their diet. The rice is better for not making the skin oily. It takes longer to raise the blood sugar than bread because it's not made into flour and it doesn't have shortening which is oil. The asians eat more veggies at meals than most other folks in America. So they are good people to learn from. Stan

If anyone's a genius on diet maybe I am. Dig this, did you know that the staple of the teenagers diet is often sugar. Sugar causes a rise in insulin and that raises the hormones that causes excessive oil to be produced on the skin. This excessive oil makes skin cells become irritated, infected, and swollen. Thus a pimple is born.

Get plenty of sleep. The lack of sleep is approximately 45% responsible for the cause of Acne. The immune system just gets too run down. This causes excessively oily skin so go to bed early. My acne left in 10 days after joining the military. It wasn't any supper food they served there although we only got small desserts and no seconds. It was the early to bed and early to rise idea. We were always in bed at 9:00 and up at 5:00. Stayed active all day. We did'nt worry about much because our lives were in their hands now.

A teenager's body is going through puberty, many things are happening. The last thing you need is to have a weak link in the chain like a refined food diet and not enough sleep. Refined food was never made for you. It was and is a plan by the food companies to increase profits. In the process of increasing profits your health suffers.

Sugar does weaken the cells of the body when eaten like it's a major food group or a health food or something. When used as a sweetener it seems to be okay but to drink a soda or two or three bowls of ice cream is way overkill.

Personally if I eat too much sugar for two days in a row my cuticles at one or both big toes become swollen and inflamed. The cuticles need to be tough to be next to a toe nail which is hard. With too much sugar in the blood the toe nail can ingrow if the toe nail is cut too short at the sides and the cuticle is too weakened by high sugar in the blood. This is how people get ingrown tow nails. They are setting as home with nothing to do. They are over doing the sugar, and pretty soon they have these tender swollen cuticles.

This is one of the reasons some teens have breakouts. Their skin on the face is too weak to take the excessive oil and their digestion is not good enough to handle the excessive oil by digesting all of it.

So avoid these refined foods. Go to the produce section and eat like people of other cultures eat. I'm talking about the asians, hispanics. It's the whites like me that usually have the severe Acne.

Eat the Turnip Greens, Spinach, Collard Greens, Mustard Greens. These foods are full of good nutrients needed to make everything work write in the body. Eat whole grains like 100% whole wheat bread and brown rice. Asians eat mostly rice (brown is better) and they almost never have pimples. Blacks eat a lot of greens and look at their athletic abilities not to mention their perfect teeth and skin.
Blacks have strong bones from the calcium rich green vegetables they eat. Rhinos and bulls and cows have strong bones because they eat greens. Milk does not give you strong bones and teeth. Most people that are milk drinkers have weak teeth with many cavities.

See, good food makes everything right, but a word of caution, whole grains are better for acne than white bread, but don't over eat it. If you get an alergy to the wheat grain from over consumption then the oil from the wheat will come out on the skin and cause Acne.
    Everything in moderation.

If you don't seem to miss milk or other dairy then don't have it. It is the number one cause of acne. Second to it is chocolate with it's high sugar and 55% cocoa butter.

By the way I have cured my two sons and others with this advice I just shared with you. With the right diet and avoiding the greasy sugary foods your acne will leave in just a few weeks. This will take some getting used to. The green leafy veggies you need to boil in water for 10 to 15 minutes. Might want to flavor them with a little vinegar, salt, or butter but not too much butter. The Turnips Greens are my favorite. Try corn on the cob, the cob with the husk will taste better. The husks keep them fresher.

Eat fresh tree ripened fruits. Be careful not to eat too much of the citrus. Too much of the acid can cause breakouts.

Please listen to Rudy Silva at this following website. He has a lot of good to say also about Acne and nutrition.

    Hey sky soldier,
I agree with you about the brocolli andhttp://drugstoresonline.blogspot.com is a great link. That's why so many blacks have clear complexions. They love the greens. And the philipinos, I said to a philipino high schooler who looks like he has never had a pimple, you look like you never eat junk food. He opened up his back pack and showed me 4 or 5 apples. He said he eats 3 or 4 a day.

Watch this YouTube video of a doctor talking about the link between diet and Acne. This doctor, Mark Hyman had an outbreak of Acne at 36 years old. He covers a lot on his YouTube video of how he cured his Acne with diet.

In New Guinea and paraguay there was a study done on 1315 people total over 2 years. In the two years there wasn't even the smallest pimple found on anyone of the 1315. In those underdeveloped countries they only eat what they can catch, hunt, or grow. No refined foods. Even bread can add to oily skin because of two reasons. One, because it is finely growned flour so it's digested quick and raises the blood sugar fast which raises insulin. Because of the insulin the hormones are raised and this causes the skin to become extra oily which blocks pores and causes skin cells to rupture causing inflamation and pimples.

And two, there is the oily shortening used in most breads. If you eat a good amount of bread the oils will cause more oil on the skin.
Bread is a must for good nutrition. Don't stop eating it. If we eat veggies in our diet everything will workout because of moderation.

The worst food for causing Acne is dairy produces. If you love milk, milk shakes, yogurt, or cheese you better be careful and eat less of it. It is full of added growth hormones and greasy fats. Most people that are into eating vegetables will gradually lose their appitite for milk products.

There is a black girl on another website that eats a lot of chocolate, but never gets pimples. Well she's not a different speci. She either eats good health green foods like brocolli or her parents did, so she has good genes. There is always a reason. By the way, most blacks do not drink milk and they have very good teeth and strong bones. Pasturized milk is not very digestible by anyone. A baby calf can't live on it for more than six months.

Eating healthy makes our skin stronger against infections like infections caused from oily skin. Refined sugar makes our skin extra oily because of the insulin rise. Sugar also makes the skin weak. Have you ever noticed that your toe nail cuticles become red and sensitive after having lots of sugar over a couple of days? Then when you lay off the sugar the cuticles return to normal.
The same thing happens to the rest of the body including the skin on the face. Sugar makes the skin cells weak and more likely to rupture from excessive oil. Sugar as a sweetner is okay, but sodas, candy, ice cream, etc is murder on the complexion. Don't make out sugar to be the sixth food group.

Once I started working out in a gym and sweating for 2 hours a day, 6 days a week my sweat became thin like water. All the oil was gone from it. I cleaned out my pores with pure non oily sweat. Two reasons I can think of. First, the long workouts make the digestion better so all the fat which is hard to digest is digested. Second, hard enduring workouts lower testosterone which makes the skin less oily. Most teens have to much testosterone, yes you can have too much. Most teens could use more hard work and less greasy, oily foods with little real nutrients.

What helped me get into better eating habbits was realizing I was eating way to sweet a diet. I started coming to really knowing this, so I started thinking "real taste" I wanted food with real taste, so I got use to the real taste vs the sweet taste. Chili beans, salads, cooked vegetables, brown rice, fruits, fish, etc. The next time I went to a salad bar I got lost there. Everything tasted so good.

I'm not saying that everyone should go to a gym to look like Arnold. Too hard a workouts will cause torn tendons and you'll always have to keep it up to feel good. You won't look as good at a older age. I'm saying don't go for the huge arms, just stick with moderate and you'll be a lot better off. There are a lot of different facts here. I hope it isn't too confusing. Hopefully it has helped. I'm going to have some steamed brocolli right now. Stan
