effective acne treatment and scar treatment

Hi everyone! I'm 18 and I've got severe acne-prone skin. I've tried everything for it, from Neutrogena to Clean and Clear to Oxy to ProACtiv to the more high-end ones; Kiehl's, Dermalogica, Origins. I usually get no more than 3 zits at a time but recently I had a major outbreak. My whole face is congested with acne. It didn't come to me as a shock though as I have been going through a rough and stressful patch. To top it off, I've been spending my time under the sun alot which I guess has triggered my "oil-generating glands"(lack of a better scientific word here =/). I am currently using Karin Herzog in the past month or so and have not seen any improvement, but instead there are even more raised bumps on my face. It's also quite depressing to see that the bumps have also left scars/red marks. I feel like the turn of events in my life and my appearance have made me lose my self-esteem, which always results in my unhealthy food-binging sessions that may have caused my skin problem to worsen as well. I'm tired of feeling like crap and am determined to do something about it every other day. So could you please please please help me? What can I do about my acne problem and the scars? =/ And what makeup would you recommend for my skin? Looking at the mirror makes me feel so insecure all the time. I also realised I have developed some back-acne as well and I wonder if there's anything I can do about that too. Thanks in advance!

A Bleaching cream is ideal. First get rid of the acne, try proactive or any over the counter product for acne. Then once bumps are gone, Try a bleaching cream called Fair&White, Or Ambi, or any bleaching cream that is not too stromg because you don't wnat more bloching. Nandinola is works well.

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your hardship and your acne problem. I am now 31 and have had acne since I was 14 also. Mine isn't as severe as what yours sounds but still extremely annoying and embarrassing all the same. I was just wondering if you have heard of SensiClear. It's a new product that is being endorsed by the Janice Dickenson Modelling agency. I have been using it for almost 2 weeks now and so far I have to say I am impressed. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin and my acne is almost gone. They have a 30 day free trial on at the moment so this might be something worth trying. The website is the product name.com. Wasn't sure if links are allowed on the forum.

Let me know how you get on.

The marks will fade in four to six months after an acne outbreak. The skin goes through its healing and remodeling process, which takes approximately 6-12 months. The macule is not a scar and is not permanent. But don't wait! Go to an endocrinologist with special expertise in female hormone problems.I have cured my teen severe acne only with Diane-35, a drug used to treat severe, stubborn acne.

I know how it feels to have really bad acne. I have had acne on my back, my neck, my face and my chest. I know how it feels to spend good money on a tiny little tube of something that clears up acne, or not, and then leave your skin red and peeling. I know how it feels to have acne scars that takes months and months to go away, and just when it goes away another big red thing suddenly appears. I have had acne right into my 30's. What I have done is just gone more and more natural. If I moisturize dry skin, it is with a food-grade oil such as grapeseed. I have had to learn which foods I am allergic to. I have had to learn which supplements help my body get rid of waste. I had to learn which vitamins I was deficient in, like vitamin A. It has been a long and very difficult journey. This is what has worked for me. I have had to cut way back on sweets and junk. I like Borax (natural mineral "soap") and glycerin soap. Both inhibit bacterial growth.

For acne treatment, I've heard great things about ZenMed and ClearPores, since they both attack acne from the inside and the outside. As for acne scar treatments, the best I could find was a bunch of unbiased customer feedback about the different acne scar treatments available.

    Good luck.

i think the best approach is to go to a good and reputable dermatologist. no point wasting money on buying products to try and see if it works. u waste time and money.

i've ordered ClearPores before, it's totally ineffective!

i only regret that im too stubborn to delay in seeking treatment from a professional.

can read my blog as i share my experiences on choosing my skin doc and treatment approaches.

You should try the "Acne Free in 3 Days" guide. It has a great section on treating and fading acne scars. Find it here: http://adieuacne.com/acne-free-in-3-days.html

Here are some home remedies which you can try for acne.

Grind turmeric with neem leaves and apply to the face and take bath after half-an-hour.

Get good exposure to sunlight. Sun actually kills the bacteria, and dries up the sebum oil that produces acne. This is a common home treatment for acne that doesn't cost anything.

Acne begins on the inside of the body, not on the surface of the skin. Drink plenty of water - at least eight glasses per day - to help detoxify your body and cure acne. Also eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

An oily hair may also lead to acne problems. So shampoo your hair twice a week. Maintain your weight by proper exercises and have good sleep.

Grind saffron with coconut milk and using a brush rub the pimple area with little force.

Make a mixture of carrot juice and mango juice and apply to face.

Try not to focus on the scars, but on the acne treatment itself. The scars will disappear after a while, but you have to treat the acne first. I recommend you see some doctors. Try each one's prescription if you have never tried it before. This is how you may win.

I recommend you talking to a dermatologist about isotretinoin. I'm taking it and I started noticing some results.
