Last summer I went to the doctors about my pimples as I had suffered from them for over 5 years and was sick of them. I didn't want to go on the Birth Control Pills as that was unnessecary as I am not sexually active. The doctor gave me the alternative, Doxycycline. I took about 4 repeats (4 months) worth of the medicine and it worked. My skin was brilliant and I didn't need to wear make-up all the time anymore to feel comfortable. Then my father found out I was taking the tablets and as he is against 'changing hormone levels' and 'anti'drugs' I was made to go off them. My pimples have continually gotten worse. I have just got back on them (today actually) but am not sure whether it's the right thing. They work for me, but I read up on them and some side effect s can be really nasty.
What are other peoples experiences with this prescription medication?
