Has anyone tried any of the Cetaphil cleansers? If anyone has used them what have they done for your skin?

My skin is normal/oily. My acne is mild/moderate. The main thing with my acne is redness. It's really red. Does anyone have any ideas to reduce redness? Thanks.

I like Cetaphil to combat the dryness of benzoyl peroxide, because it is very drying. It although seems to reduce the effectiveness of the BP cream.

I always recommend Cetaphil as a mild cleanser that is way better than soap for taking care of your skin. Check out my article on acne prone skin care where I talk about Cetaphil and the right way to wash your face for best results.

I use the Cetaphil cleanser to remove my makeup and prep my face for the acne system I use (AcneFree). I really like it; it gets rid of dirt and oil without drying out my skin or throwing it out of balance. It doesn't really do anything about acne prevention or treatment but it is a really gentle and effective cleanser. The only issue I have with it is that it's really runny so it can be difficult to get the right amount to stay on your fingers prior to application.

I've used Cetaphil before, but I prefer Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser. I don't care for Cetaphil's texture, but it does work to get rid of my forehead acne. I just can't stand the way it feels. There are numerous other cleansers out there that work comparably to Cetaphil. I have a list of forehead acne cleansers on my blog, if anyone is interested in other options.

    Hi there,
Cetaphil works quite well, but can over dry the skin especially if combined with BP.
    Best wishes,
    Thomas
