    Hi there,
    side effects of say the prescribed tetracyclines are minor - nausea,vomiting and diarrhoea. Yeast infections may also occur 'thrush', but are quite minor.

    Side effects of any acne antibiotics:
    Increased risk of upper respiratory infections
    Urinary tract infections
    Gastrointestinal upsets such as diarrhea and indigestion
    Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight, causing the skin to burn more easily
    Increased risk of vaginal or mouth yeast infections
