Should cosmetics be applied if suffering from acne? What do you do?
-
well its better to avoid heavy make up during acne breakouts.. but women cant resist cosmetics:P so I'd say you go for products that are dermatologically tested and termed oil free..
-
I just use a lip stick or lip gloss... I avoide blushers, eye shades and foundations as much as I can .. bcuz even the brands termed oil free do damage.

:(
I start feeling itchy after a few hours if I use any foundations :(
Thus I have to fo for lipsticks only :( -
gosh.. this is the problem with all acne sufferers. Its better to use oil free make up for as less duration as possible and clean it off as soon as you get back home...
-
I use foundation but that's it.

I know that is not recommended to usu make up to much when you have problems with you skin, specially acne. In my opinion make up is just another way to get more pimples and infected pores

In winter time make up and cosmetics helps and protect your skin, but in the summer is different. Make up helps to cover the imperfections not to get read of acne on the contrary.

I use make up but I'm very careful to clean my face before i go to bed. If i don't do this next day my face is very oily and irritated. I know that make up could help the acne to spread but i guess that girls face more this problem than the boys

You can use makeup as long as it's non-comedonic and non-acneogenic and won't clog pores. If doesn't have one of these words on it's label, don't use it.

there are a lot of cosmetics for any tipe of skin, but no one of them for skin with acne. you should shoose cosmetics including some acids which can prevent og appering pimples and treat acne.

Well, there are some cosmetics specially design for acne prone skin. Neutrogena has few products from what I know and I am sure there are more brands that has them. The question is do they work?
I use to use some foundation from Neutrogena and I was pretty happy with it. The only thing with cosmetics when you have acne is to choose the ones that have whiten on their label Non-Comedonic, won't clog pores, hypoallergenic, appropriate for sensitive skin or oil free and hope they are perfect for your skin type.
