Do not use this medication if you are allergic to cephalexin, or to similar antibiotics, such as Ceclor, Ceftin, Cefzil, Duricef, Fortaz, Omnicef, Spectracef, Suprax, and others.

Before using cephalexin, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs (especially penicillins), or if you have kidney or liver disease, a stomach or intestinal disorder such as colitis, diabetes, or if you are malnourished.

I agree with Anna. This is an antibiotics and antibiotics cannever be aken for life time or long courses as the germs develop an immunity to them and then they are no longer useful. Plus the stroner the antibiotic is the harsher its side effects are.

I haven't heard of this stuff until now, but the root of this word "cephalex" remainds me of a very strong antibiotic that must be tacken only under medical supervise. My advise: don't. Better go to your doctor. By the way: do you have prescription for this? My friend had to take this time ago, while verry ill, and it was really strong
