I've never tried petroleum jelly as a remedy to acne and other skin diseases. But I believe it has many uses. It would help acne prone skin not worsen since petroleum jelly is a good cleansing agent. A certain skin disease called Psoriasis can also be cured with petroleum jelly.

Are you suffering from acne? You feel there is no hope and everything you tried just never seems to work? There is hope and if you continue to read this article then you will realize that there are things that you can do to clear your acne and have a renewed sense of self esteem and confidence.

Millions of people all over the world suffer from acne and is no doubt that this severe skin disease causes both physical and emotional pain. Can you imagine staring in the mirror only to see blackheads, whiteheads and pimples staring back at you? There must be something that can be done to combat this disease.

There are various factors that contribute to the cause of acne and so there are various things that can be done to ease or cure your acne. Different person react differently to different changes and so the following is a summary of what you can to achieve a clear and healthy skin.

#1 Take care of your skin. You need to ensure that your skin is clean at all times. This does not mean that you should scrub your skin because doing so can cause your acne to become even worse. What you can do is shower at least twice per day and use a salicylic acid based shower gel to prevent your skin from drying out.

#2 Use a gentle moisturizer. Your skin needs to be kept hydrated, and using a moisturizer after showering will prevent your skin from becoming dry and flaky.

#3 Eat healthy. Forget about all those fatty stuff and start to consume some vegetables and some fruits. These will provide your body with the essential nutrients it needs to perform its functions optimally.

#4 Change your bedding regularly. When your sleep your body shed dead skin cells and so it is therefore important that you change your bedding regularly. If not, you will reintroduce dead cells and dirt back onto your skin which will clog your pores and worsen your acne.

#5 Drink a lot of water. It is no secret what water can do. If you realize, persons who drink a lot of water their skin always look glowing and beautiful.

#6 Do not pop your pimples. You should never attempt to pop your pimples because you can introduce dirt and bacteria into the affected area which can cause the area to become inflamed.

#7 Do not wear tight clothes. Tight clothing can cause more heat which will lead to more sweating and shedding of skin cells. These cells will be lodged into your clothes and will be reintroduced beck onto your skin and can clog your pores.

I have used Scar Repairex and unlike what adverts say, it's very greasy and doesn't absorb easily. It also only works on scars that are less than 6 months old. I've used it for several months now and have seen very little difference. It claims to work on ALL types of scars, but I don't think this is true at all. My scars are depressed, and Scar Repairex hasn't been any help at all. Very expensive too, at £40/jar.
